MEDIA DEVELOPMENT OF ORDINARY FRACTIONS OF MATHEMATICS LEARNING INTO MATHEMATICAL MIXTURE FRACTIONS TO INCREASE THE UNDERSTANDING ABILITY OF BASIC SCHOOL STUDENTS USING VBA FOR EXCEL

Abstract

There are still many students who have difficulty in learning mathematics about the matter of changing ordinary fractions into mixed fraction forms because students do not understand the provisions that are the basis of how ordinary fractions can be transformed into mixed fractions. That is still not able to distinguish the definitions of the numerator and the denominator in fractions, besides that students have not been able to interpret the form of fractions correctly in terms of the fundamental ability of understanding the mathematical thinking process.
The benefit of VBA for Excel elementary school is to associate mathematical concepts from fractional material that can help students understand the thinking process in visual form. The development of technology now makes the media more efficient and faster, therefore with the help of technology, a teacher or teacher can make a lot of media that is tailored to the needs of teaching in the classroom.
The method used in media development uses ADDIE (Analysis of Design Development Implementation and Evaluation). And the feasibility of instructional media from the assessment of media experts and material experts. Before carrying out implementation in class, the media and material are assessed by users or elementary school mathematics teacher to get a questionnaire assessment and enter the evaluation as a media improvement that will be implemented to students.
